PJLA: Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. (PJLA) is a private third-party accreditation body based in the United States that validates the competency of testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, reference material producers and sampling organizations through the use of international and national standards.

This accreditation is delivered for Apave TIV India.

ISO 17021-1:2015 specifies the principles and requirements relating to competence, consistency and impartiality in the auditing and certification of management systems of all types and relating to the bodies providing this activity.

Management system certification is a third-party conformity assessment activity. Bodies carrying out this activity are therefore third-party conformity assessment bodies.

That accreditation is delivered by COFRAC, for Apave Certification, with a global reach, the benefits of which accrue to Baltic Control.

ISO/IEC 17025: is the International Standard for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, which establishes general requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistency of laboratory activities, and helps to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory calibration and testing results. Apave is ISO 17025 accredited by NABL.

National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL)

Is an accreditation body, with its accreditation system established in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17011. “Conformity Assessment –Requirements for Accreditation bodies accrediting conformity assessment bodies.” NABL provides voluntary accreditation services to:

• Testing laboratories in accordance with ISO/ IEC 17025 ‘General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories’.

Baltic Control has NABL - ISO/IEC 17025:2017 (Reg. TC-8553 / TC-11812) accreditation for its analysis and testing laboratories.

ISO 45001 is an International Standard that specifies the requirements to be met by an occupational health and safety (OHS) management system. It provides a framework for organizations to manage risk and improve their OH&S performance.

The standard defines criteria for establishing an OH&S policy and objectives, as well as for planning, implementing, achieving operational objectives, auditing and reviewing. Management commitment, worker participation, hazard identification and risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance, emergency planning, adverse event analysis and continual improvement are all key elements of the standard.

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) was set up by the Indian government under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act passed by Parliament in December 1985. APEDA is responsible for the development of industries linked to products intended for export:

• - Sets standards and specifications for products intended for export
• - Carries out inspections of all meat and meat-based products in slaughterhouses, processing plants, storage facilities and means of transport, in order to guarantee quality
• - Controls sugar imports.

APEDA also acts as the secretariat for the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for the accreditation of certification bodies under the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) for exports of organic products.
Baltic Control has accredited APEDA Crop Production and Organic Products (Reg. NPOP/NAB/0038) to carry out inspections on organically produced foodstuffs, guaranteeing that they come from a farming system that uses no chemical fertilisers or pesticides, and respects the environment and society.

Apave in India is authorised to conduct specific verifications and inspections based on advice from PESO. This includes engineering verification and inspection of pressure relief valves, multi-function valves (combo valves), pressurized gas cylinders etc.

PESO is the regulatory organization in India responsible for ensuring the safe handling, storage, transportation, and usage of petroleum, explosives and compressed gas. It overseas the implementation of various safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and protect the environment.

It is mandatory that Boilers and Boiler Components intended for use in India shall be inspected and certified by the Central Boiler Board or its authorized representatives according to The Indian Boiler Act -1923 and IBR Rules-1950. The in-service Boilers shall be periodically inspected and certified for their fitness to continue in safe operation.

Apave in India hase been approved by Central Boiler Board of India for Inspection and certification of Boiler and Boiler components. Competent personnel, authorized by the Central Boiler Board (CBB) according to the IBR – 1950 rules perform Inspection at manufacturing locations, erection sites and facilities within India to conduct the inspection. For boilers & components manufactured abroad, intended for installation in India, authorized inspectors of Apave TIV global offices are available.

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) was constituted under The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 (NO. 19 OF 2006) notified via Gazette Notification dated 31st March, 2006.

The Act provide for the establishment of Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board to protect the interests of consumers and entities engaged in specified activities relating to petroleum, petroleum products and natural gas and to promote competitive markets and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Further as enshrined in the act, the board has also been mandated to regulate the refining, processing, storage, transportation, distribution, marketing and sale of petroleum, petroleum products and natural gas excluding production of crude oil and natural gas so as and to ensure uninterrupted and adequate supply of petroleum, petroleum products and natural gas in all parts of the country.
